Dreams Come True

she had a dream
of seaside escapades
and seabreeze in her hair

this little girl of three
landlocked
utterly determined

to make her dream come true
with a fistful of crayons
she brought to life her pony

M. L. Kiser January 18, 2020 at 3:49 AM I had to fav this one, I always wanted a pony as a kid, after a certain age, I would still say that's what I wanted but no one's ever given me one. I'll probably still be asking for it at age 99; of course, I'll be too old to ride without falling off. Line Gauthier January 18, 2020 at 12:01 PM Even at age 99 you could hug and pet your horse, ML.
