Dreams Are Waiting

Dreams Are Waiting I am no longer at deaths door The doctors gave me hope and more I am going to beat this cancer Even the pain is getting better With me are my family and friends Not accepting that my life could end With every step they gave me the courage Every time I came close to that edge I was so sad that I lost my hair But now I don't really care Well we are almost done with the kemo Sometimes the days got hard and time was slow Soon again I will be able to soar No longer will I be sick and rocking on the floor My dreams are waiting for me And I really learned how to be free Dec.4,2008 Bettie Avery
