Dreams and Reality

A whisper of a voice
Sweetly speaking of love
And a slight brush of hand
Soft across the collarbone.

Sweet Dreams, My Love
No Tears You'll Now Cry.

Simply a dream,
A lush cloud above your head
Raining fairy tales down
Flooding you with false hope.

Close Your Eyes, My Love
No Bad Things You'll Now See.

Sitting in a world created by want
Legs crossed and arms folded
Head hanging with a smile on soft lips
Pretending, dreaming again.

Wake Now, My Love
No Facade You'll Now Show.

Lost inside your head
Spinning in endless circles
Heart pounding so fast and furiously
Breathing in gasps and sobs.

Look There, My Love
The Truth You'll Now Find.

His hand on hers
Their lips connect as one
Hearts race, filled with love
And you, a shadow in the dust.

See Now, My Love
Hear Words Spoken Soft.

Breathing so soft and yet so hard
Foreheads pressed and eyes closed
Words exchanged that make you scream
But silence surrounds you as does darkness.

Hush Now, My Love
For You'll Now Never See Him Again.

Wow! that's some dream....great imagination. Everyone must have experienced some wild, romantic dream such as this. It connects. Ah, a musician! I'm retired, but spent 50 years in one orchestra or another, most recently Cincinnati. Thanks for your kind words about my stuff. Love, Daver
