Dreams About Him

Fireflies dance upon the
moon-lit sky
and I
am simply hypnotized
by starry eyes so
shy
her resting eyes
twitch
thoughts of the day pondered
seeing eyes can only see so much
these unconscious thoughts
which conscious mind cannot deliver
make her slender body quiver
running through the woods
on a snowy
summer’s day
running
from an unknown figure
shadowy
silhouette of a
man;
a man
she’ll never see
