Dreams
When we are young we chase our dreams
With much determined heart
But somewhere along the path it seems
They tend to fall apart
So we gather the pieces tenderly
And place them within ourselves
Inside a childhood treasury
Upon our many shelves
And if we chance to be strong enough
To face these things forbidden
We find in all our collective stuff
This treasure we have hidden
And oh what a painful pleasurement
To remember our younger desires
And wonder with fear and excitement
If a dream ever really expires.
