Dreams

I often lie back and have a dream
Of a wonderful man I’ve never seen
Tall and handsome with greying hair
He’s in my thoughts does he know I’m there
We could share so much together
In my dreams it could last forever
But then I wake and reality hits
Sometimes dreams just are the pits!

Jan, I am sure there is a man out there dreaming about you, too. It is when the dreams collide in reality that the sparks begin to fly and you go from the pits to the pinnacle. Good luck with that tall and handsome wonder. Joe

Lovely Jan, I myself like Dark black hair on a man but unfortunately as they get older they start to grey, Peter had black hair when I met him but he was even going grey then at nineteen, now he is white and head shaved, but keep dreaming my dear but be happy with who you have got Take care my friend.........Vera..............

Fantasies and dreams are intriguing, as this poem illustrates … but … reality is the anchor that keeps us sane and trusting, which the closing lines suggest. Keeping the two separate and distinct must always be the goal - however, letting them “bump” each other every once in a while – keeps all the players “honest” and alert! Loved this write, Jan! Jack C
