Dreams

We all got dreams to chase
And demons to face.
People to curse
And people to bless.
Decisions to make

And roads to take.
Yet sometimes the roads we take
Always lead us back to that place,
With those demons we're afraid to face
So far from the dreams that we chase.

It's easy to feel like
A fly in a spider's web.
To feel like a crab
On the seafood menu.
Then comes the urge for a drink

But you are stronger than you think.
Look around, look harder and don't blink.
There is a horse trapped in those bushes
And it wants to ride with you
Out of that valley and into the sunset.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
