Dreams
You blanket me with joy whenever you’re around.
Wherever you are, happiness abounds.
Just the thought of you makes me smile,
And one day I’d like to see you walk down the aisle.
Holding the hand of one you hold dear.
Into my mind that image will be seared.
Joining hands and speaking our hearts,
Pronounced together, ‘till death do us part.
Love is a promise, not just a word.
Not a burden, but scarcely heard.
To love someone, you can’t just care,
But instead, you have to dare.
Dare to dream,
As hard as it may seem.
So when we say those words,
We’ll be light and free, just like birds.
