Dreams

Dreams of you
I had a dream last night of you
Oh how I could only
wish the dream could come true
It was way back when we were just young teens
The way we met was unforeseen
Over the phone yet we had no idea
Of what each other looked like
We were yet to meet
We picked a day to meet up to finally get to see the voices on the other side of the phone
That day I was so nervous I had millions of butterflies in my stomach
Didn’t know how to think didn’t know how to react
But in you came walking in the laundromat where we agreed to meet
And who would of thought you could just sweep me off my feet
That moment I fell in love with you when our eyes meet
It seemed like it was just meant to be
I never thought something like this could be
Then I awoke from my dream with a smile upon my face
I also came to realize
This was not just a dream
It was me reliving a past reality
