Dreaming of You
Another night slips away,
choosing the words that I never can say.
Remembering promises whispered to me,
twisting the knife in the back of my sanity.
If only you hadn't deceived me.
If only I'd felt the blade carving a hole in me.
If only I hadn't believed you,
I would not be annoyed and avoiding
dreaming of you.
Dreaming of you laughing in bed,
hearing you screaming inside of my head.
Feeling the passion as if it were truth,
almost believing you're real but I'm
dreaming of you.
Only dreaming of you.
