Dreaming

Swimming in the solace and enjoying the solitude
In the near death dream state
Begin the subconscious movie show

Past memories appear- caught in static time
Deceased loved ones briefly visit
They appear so alive

The flying dream begins 
Soaring high above the trees
Landing in unknown places
Strange beings can be seen

Transporting to a carnival 
The falling dream begins
Riding the Ferris wheel and slipping from the seat
Falling and falling and falling into darkness
Dreading hitting ground

Suddenly jolted awake, I sit up in my bed
Open my eyes in my sunny room
I'll get on with the day
The movie is finished, but I must admit
I’m looking forward to tonight’s subconscious movie show
