2/19/2025 for Dreamer and the dreamed Poetry Contest sponsored by Unseeking Seeker
Once, a boy heard a fairy tale. He repeated the story until he became the story and forgot that it was "make believe". Soon, it became reality, and not a dream. The world echoed his tale. He became a man, and new chapters were written, with plot twists. He was so busy moving the plot along, he could see or hear nothing else. One day, resting before a large body of water, he was quiet, and it felt like a dream. He saw a small shoot break through a granite boulder. He heard a single drop fall on the still pond, and wondered if this shoot, and this drop could be messengers of a new reality.
