Dreamer
Beneath the velvet cloak of the midnight sky,
A solitary dreamer stands, wondering why.
City lights flicker, a distant hum,
Eyes wide open, yet senses numb.
Streets stretch out like rivers of concrete,
Neon signs flicker, heartbeat by heartbeat.
Buildings loom, giants of steel and stone,
Yet, in the silence, the dreamer stands alone.
With a slow blink, the world transforms,
A surreal symphony, where reality warms.
Lids close gently, like curtains drawn,
And the journey begins, in the realm beyond.
In this unseen tapestry of the mind,
Colors explode, sensations entwined.
No longer confined by the laws of day,
The dreamer meanders, lost in the astral ballet.
Picture moonbeams as spotlight glow,
Casting shadows where dreams may go.
Footsteps echo on cobblestone dreams,
Guided by whispers of celestial streams.
The air, a canvas, where fantasies blend,
As the dreamer glides, around each bend.
Stars weave tales in the cosmic ballet,
Where closed eyes see more than light of day.
Through the veil of the dreaming night,
Destinations beckon, bathed in soft light.
No need for maps or a guiding hand,
The dreamer's journey, a dance on dreamland.
In the theater of the dreaming mind's embrace,
The dreamer pirouettes through ethereal space.
Amidst shadows and whispers, a destination gleams,
A realm born anew, painted in the hues of dreams.
