Dream Shattered

Into twinkling illegible pieces of star dust,
Imagined hours over within the confines of a blissful yawn,
Yet for me it was real as any unreality could be,
Ghostly thoughts gently tapping on a sleeping mind

She stood there with beautiful face I could not make out,
Still I felt comforted by pin cushioned brain numbness,
Loving someone I never met and surely never will,
Anyway no blurry vision could ever embrace me.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
