Notes About The Poem

Categories sometimes give too much away. So for now, "dream." This poem is patterned after Suzette Richards "Whet and Wry." You can find the description in her notes

Dream Man

wraps arms around neck
drawing her close to his chest
she feels his heartbeat
as hers wanes into the dark
her dream finally fading

Nicely written, Kim. And there is indeed a haunting quality especially as you turn the last two lines as you take us in and out of a dream! Blessings, my friend!

I love the contrast and the unpredictable end, Kim, as it deviates from the sentimental scenes we often half expect.
