Dream Lover
I've waited now for many years
Just to hold your hand
I tried to tell you how I felt
But you couldn't understand
You smiled at me, once long ago
For a second as you passed
I even tried to say hello
But it happened way too fast
You walked with me, side by side
But you didn't look my way
I wanted to shout your name out loud
But I didn't know what to say
But one day it's gonna happen
When fate comes stumbling by
I'll take your hand and hold you tight
Until the day I die
'Til then I'll just keep waiting
No matter how hard it seems
One day I hope to meet you
And not only in my dreams
