Dream Job Murderer By Default

A teacher will at some ask of you ?

What do you want to be when you
grow up ?

And as i owned a train set my dream
job always was to be a train driver

And so one day when i grew up
the opportunity came my way
and i grabbed it with both hands

And happy was i very much to
go to work each day

Until one day some man i never knew
threw himself underneath my train

And in doing so not only killed
himself but turned me into an
all be it unwilling accomplice to
his murder as well by default

And in the end lost his job being deemed no longer fit to work

Because eventually under constant
attack took to the bottle to drive the nightmare from his sleep

Because even by default and him
being an unwilling accomplice

He was still in fact party to a murder

I know in your mind that you see yourself as an unwilling accomplice and indeed it is a very sad and real experience and not to diminish it in any way an occupational hazard for a train driver, you cannot steer trains or stop them like a car, the guy that committed suicide made the decision to implicate you by proxy, we all deal with these situations differently so I’m not judging your life changing reaction, it’s a raw deal cheers David

Thank god for you its fictitious it’s so realistic I believed it, but I was philosophical about what happened in my case, and still am, I’ve had some scrapes with death in the past and witnessed some too, wish I hadn’t to be honest but live and learn, cheers David

Sorry David this poem is fictitious wrote in response to your neighbor comment. About the worst possible case scenario or outcome that could have happened to someone just doing what they thought was the correct or right thing . Yet ending up having their own life destroyed by it too as well through no fault of their own. It made me think of those poor soul's made an unwilling accomplice by default .
