Dream In the Wind
I dreamed the wind
could talk to the sea
he whispered quietly,
“Lets travel a mile
our ease set free”
Trembling in awe
of the windy king,
she rode the eddy’s
to what would it bring?
Not a word
passed his lips,
not a sound
but silence fits
They traveled together
wind in hand,
washing and blowing
across the sands
Eventually,
his gust blew out,
weary he rested
and looked about
Blowing so soft
he rippled a wave,
sensuous foaming
a tide is made
Thinking that silence
would be lifelong,
the sea went out
moon rides begun
Now a sentinel
for the four winds,
I watch the moon
as the sea does rescind
