Dream

Ever fleeting memory of mine
I could write forever in line
The last breath you take
Will be the same I remake

For once upon a time
You fluently spoke in rhyme
Now you are starting to fade
This will be the last I have made

One day I may be able to find
A piece of you in my mind
It can make me drift away
To a place other then that day

A hospital bed where you lie
Next to it I lay awake and cry
The beeping soon stops
And my heart drops

A lifeless dream I once had
Now I awake and feel so glad
For you are still by my side
And depressing thoughts can reside
