Dread

Why be afraid?
Is dread not dead?
Or fear of dread
Much more afraid?

A heavy feel
Obstructs plain will
For nothing heals
As tension drills.

No wonder then
This empty span
Of knowing when
You know you can!

Dread can drop dead
For those afraid
As fear drops dead
In pulse afraid.
