Drawing a Blank

Twirling this pen in my hand
Trying to lay down some words if I can
I'm drawing a blank
From my poetry bank
No words written since I began

You say no way this could be
Because you're reading these words you see
You are right to think
These lines are made of ink
I'm not sure how they came to be

so glad your muse didn't let you down Timothy they can be so fickle at times! the minute i get an idea I write it down or the moment is gone:-) I sleep with a notebook by my bed as I often wake with a complete poem in my head especially limericks which take me about 2 mins to write in total:-) hugs jan xx

yes! It is strange, sometimes I struggle with a poem and sometimes another flashes in my mind like a photograph already written
