Dragging My Life Around

Day after day into my abyss I call life No matter the corner there's always strife Things that I do always turn out to be wrong It's weakening me, when once I stood strong What do I do, tell me where do I go When once I'd be bounding and now I'm so slow Who do I turn to, tell me who's going to listen When once I'd be bouncing and now I'm listing Day after day into my abyss I call life No matter the corner there's always strife Things that I do always turn out to be wrong For one day I'll find out where I exactly belong

Hi James I am finally back on Poetry Soup after a long break. It is like meeting an old friend reading your work, this one made me feel sad, but also positive that you can express so well how you are feeling. Hope you are well.

A melancholy write, James. I think we all go through times where we feel like this. You expressed yourself well! Blessings, Kim M
