Draft

I am building a house

foundations
will be laid according to the consolation of your embraces

I am building a house

walls
will be lifted
from the firmness of the way you're looking at me
and painted
through the scent of the words that have been said

I am building a house

out of an illusion
you will never
ever
try to hide your imperfection
by putting down the toilet seat

I am building a house
yours and mine

there,
I finally said it, but please
while smiling, promise me
we're leaving the lights On
