Downtime With a Jelly Jar

White sand cascades in a wee washed-up jelly jar. Shiny on its side, stepwise tumbling as a child turns it. Boy’s curious mind reveals a tiger’s eye, rhodonite, Snowflake obsidian, red jasper and quartz midst sand. In reverse play, stones look like sleds on a snowy slope. Slow reveal of each prize mesmerizing and calming. 11/22/2021 Line Gauthier’s BITE SIZE POEM no27
