Downtime

Every creative soul experiences downtime It's that lull, the ebb of the flow When the hot flames of creativity starts to burn real low Now this can frustrate a novice, someone who hasn't lived in this empty state They're much to impatient, they haven't yet learned that they need to wait Downtime is such a necessary part of the creative process It gets the epiphanies recharged To get more, you have to be given less Well, here comes my downtime That peaceful lull, the calming ebb of the flow Soon it'll be time to stoke fresh coals of creativity when the dying embers begin to lose their glow

Ty, Cheryl. Just trying to help out the beginning poets/poetesses. Give them some insight that will save them some needless anxiety. 'Preciate the love. Stay blessed. Love you always.
