Downfall

The rain poured down once again,
Leaving her breathless, down, and feeling the pain.
As petrichor lingered around the place,
memories came flashing back before her face.

The smell of rain made her remember the past.

It did not only reminded her of who she was
but, it also reminded her of the person
whom she loved and trusted once.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
