Down Low

I was so scared
Didn't know what to do
I was unprepared
Before I met you, true

Right now, all these special moments spent with you
You tell me that you love me, but you were through

You brought me your light
I need some pure delight
Give it to me with might
You shine bright tonight

I want you to be happy in your own beautiful skin
You left the door ajar and you hurt me from within

You drift away like a wondrous wave
You sail like a boat in the lovely lake
You tell me to be so brave
Guess my bravery took a break

You lifted away the demons from inside me
I sifted away the demons from inside you

You fail to see the failure I am honestly
You tell me don't give in to negativity
Suppose positivity doesn't thrill me slightly
But, eventually, it will do so substantially

You drift away like a feather from my hand
You sail as if you're a ship in a watery land

Wrapped up in woe
The wind goes to and fro
I have been feeling low
It is true - I have been blue
It is because of you
I feel so much remnant rue
Hope will find its way inside
Deep inside, I cried…sighed…
There is no where to hide with broken pride and my high spirits have dried
