Doubt

Looking at your reflection,
what might you see?
As you pretend to window shop,
gazing in glee.
Your image is perfect,
everyone must be amazed,
now just waiting for all to notice
with their approving gaze.

If you have not seen
a single glance today,
it may be you are not shimmering
in the right way.
But how can that be,
when you took so much time,
with tassels, lashes and hair,
 done so perfectly fine?

I felt as if I was witnessing a doubtful beauty walking down the street. Well done.
