Doublethink Beliefs

1. My life now’s not too spiritual although I grew up Christian, for I do not go to any church. I really do not care about religion. I believe in prayer! I talk to God and Know that He loves me, but certain things I don’t take seriously. Perhaps for that, the thing that I most crave I will not find before I’m in the grave! 2. My next life – could it be that I am born into another universe and torn from all my memories of life on earth? My new life here is sorely lacking mirth. In this new culture, like a slave I live with rules and rites! With bitterness I give my time while exercising no free will. With gloom and soberness my soul does fill. 3. Rewind – “and as my breath flows here and now”* I’m overjoyed, and I don’t have to bow to things I don’t believe in, for I need to choose, but I do not fall prey to greed. I’m satisfied with what God’s given me and very grateful simply to be free. No evil can destroy my thinking mind. Well put Andrea, it's not all about how good we Are 'seen to be' that's how I consider it in how We understand God.. To the best level we can It's best to be honest with Him.. Let's consider He knows our thoughts before we Do so there's no way we can sell our values to Him.' You are on a good footing in your way of Knowing of God and yourself.'

Andrea, I can understand the bitterness but I let it go and let it fall like water off a duck’s back. I refuse to let the negativity drag me down. You are so very good at expressing and articulating how you feel. I really enjoyed this piece. Prayer gets me through every hardship. Blessings xxoo

There is nothing wrong in being equitable Andrea, as long as people desire a better Reality/understanding I believe God will not Write them off, and they will get the chance To consider Jesus's life given for all, who knows Whether they will accept.? That is each person's Choice, others can only point the way..' I am not Big on coercion in general, I'll leave it there a Good thoughtful write you have here.'

Personally I don't believe in reincarnation. God gave us one soul with will power to choose, preferably always the good. Otherwise I liked the way you composed te three phases as required by the contest. Hugs

Let me barge in untactfully here.' Constantine Oversaw it 'not going' in the Bible along with Christian leaders if claims Were too unsubstantiated If memory serves me? I don't Believe in it although it has happened but only in the cases Of Jesus Elijah & the two to come? There was tabitha & Lazerus and the widows son and those who rose at the crucifixion.' but these were continuam lives as it were.' For God nothing is impossible But apart from that There is no general re incarnation as I understand it.'

sorry it's the rules of the contest. But I have an open mind about reincarnation. I found out it got taken out of the bible by a Roman emperor, so who are we to say it does not exist!

Great write, your thoughts heartfelt. Wow! You took me by surprise with the first paragraph. I am too a Christian person, but I don't go to church, I wish I did, but not able. Noise will activate seizure and very embarrassing when I get one.

The difference, however, is you probably wish to be there. I never wanted to be in church although I enjoyed many good social activities in my church throughout my youth.

I'm there with you. I LOVE Jesus, He is my Lord and God. I no longer follow in a particular religious denomination though, and don't at all claim to have all the answers, except Him, He is the only answer to my questions. I am non-denominational. There have been so many winds of doctrine blown through my life, rules, walls, division. I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. I appreciate the goodness of brothers and sisters who are a part of denominations, I don't like the walls built between.

Agreed, BJ. I will always wonder in the back of my mind if the church I was raised in has the total truth. So much of it supports my own feelings. But I am not in agreement with current things they are supporting and I have just never felt comfortable being in sunday "meetings"
