Double Life

Her double life she cannot escape But this life does not involve a mask or cape It does include a knife she uses everyday And her thoughts always looking for a way To leave the world she had learned to hate But she knows that she must wait For the right moment when no one is at the house And she doesn't have to be as quiet as a mouse Wait until she has finished things with the people in her life That have forced her to use that bloodied knife Until she has written that dreaded letter Because she knows that her mother can't make it any better So she goes to her room and hugs her dog, Daisy Then her vision begins to go a little hazy Because she had just downs those four bottles of pills And she knows that the pills aren't the only thing that kills Although the pills may be what put her in the hole It's the people behind them that killed her soul
