Dot To Dot

In the pages of history,
there is triumph and misery;
But in every drop of rain,
dot forms part of every grain.

Every dot has a story
that could be love or mystery.
Everyday, come what may,
dot has a role to play.

Every dot has a value
that could only be seen by few.
Without a dot, there could be no sentence;
In every tale, there's no clear essence.

To some, dot could mean nothing;
To some, it could mean at least a thing;
But in the universe, no matter how is one's fame,
all dots we are, just the same.

So boast not, for we're the same,
No matter what is our name.
From dot of dust, we were all made,
and one day, to dot, we'll fade.

Creative entry for the contest. Reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. We have a saying only a drop in the bucket or one drop in the ocean. Sara

By the way, that saying is true at many instances... For one, God is good that rain comes in grains, because if rain comes in a single drop, it would be a disaster...
