Dot In Your Eye
There is a tiny dot in your eye
an indelible drop of ink,
not fading
not spreading
growing darker with every wink
shining with every whisper
It is shy.
Pupil turned teacher
who learned me to shackle my four chambers
and give them away
I smile when you smile,
sleeping you slap me
I giggle and go labour
to keep the sheen
of the dot in your eye
If it drips, I drop
