Dora Maar with Green Fingernails

Dora Maar with Green Fingernails

In Elementary school
I was not good at shapes at drawings
When I look at the Dora Maar with
green fingernails
I look at my own fingernails
with green smeared all over
my hands

I was a fool
painting all over my fingers, and then there are my drawings
Convincing people that Picasso is one of the greatest artists is a myth
green fingernails
Misproportioned – moreover
It’s bland.

A very honest slant on the painting, Honey. Every painting is interpreted via our own perceptions. Sometimes we overdramatise famous artists. ThkU for sharing your views on this one. Best for Contest if you are submitting your poem ~ know that “judges” of Poetry also have their own preferences, dependent on their perceptions. B blessed., Ghairo.

Honestly I did not think of this when I submitted, I just submit with the first thing in mind, but you're right about this.
