Doorway To Dreams

Doorway to dreams that decorate slumber,
Is entered by minds letting go.
Drifting through spaces and mythical places
Flirting with fear and incredible chases,
Down long empty hallways and up endless staircases
In search of the answers we know

Then flowers of fantasy brilliant and fair
Blow all their rare petals to dismal fields bare

Pull back from the snake whose bite isn't real
Watch for the enemy close at your heel
All is in blackness nothing to feel
Float upwards and upwards beyond, danger's way
Plunge suddenly, swiftly to cold light of Day

I do not always remember my dreams, yet when I do, I wonder what it means. They seem to be so real.

Dear Connie: I will post to PFT soon. Spring is here and our renovation is winding down. We went to big plant nursery and bought some wonderful plantings for our garden and yard. Now I understand what Spring fever is about LOL, Hugs, SuZ

Opening the door to dreams affords us the luxury of unrestrained experiences as we travel through time...and you describe this with lovely poetic ability, Suzanne. Unfortunately the best dreams are often aborted at the most interesting part, especially when morning calls!! Full marks to you:) Warm regards // paul

Sometimes I dream but can't remember them but last night had a funny one. My husband had drapes made for the living room that were prints of music notes. I have started piano practice again and we have a piano tuner and a blinds consulting person coming on the same day. Perhaps that explains the silly dream. LOL
