Doom Lingers
The shadow of death a scene so morbid
A cry now arose from my motherland
I fear when I hear the silent loom
Were those my eyes that swim in doom?
I falter when I see the funeral pyres lit
My heart like stone sinking to the bottom
of a endless pit
My spirit wounded I shed not a tear
My mind whirling in so much fear
As death approached did he smile with scorn
Or held on tight even at the break of dawn
Fate was mocking entering every door
Deaths rushing vengeance grabbing so many more
How long will he take to build a score
The sky in wrath painted red at dawn
With bended knees I hit the floor
My eyes now closed I beg and implore!
