Don"t Wait On Sunshine

The face in the moon
looked over her shoulder
and whispered just to you
why don’t you smell the clover
you worry too much
about what may never be
don’t wait on sunshine
celebrate raindrops in the rain
you never know
when the rain
will come again

Sieze the day
run as fast as you can
fly with the wind
hold the hand
of the one you want to love you
what will be will be
don’t wait on sunshine
go run in the rain
you never know
when the rain
will come again

You look to the stars
to fill all of your dreams
but you have so much
love is everything
you are the owner of
your dreams
don’t wait on sunshine
savour the gift that comes with just now
you never know
when the rain
will come again

Your family and friends
live to see you smile
but you are never happy
with your own reflection
you have everything
your dream is to reach tomorrow
don’t wait on sunshine
look for the rainbow within the rain
you never know
when the rain
will come again

That is so nice of a write and very true indeed. Besides one knows that the sun eventually does come out. There are always things to be grateful for. My favorite, "look for the rainbow within the rain. Enjoyed your poem, reads like a song. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.
