Don'T Trust the Dark

Darkness is a mystery, Cold and Unwelcoming, Giving us a fright, Monsters lurk within, Created and fed our kin, Grabbing at feet that dangle off the bed, It is the unknown, A scary lack of light, Hiding metaphorical creatures, Engulfing our source of sight, We fear the unknown, What can never be shown, Darkness is but a mystery, An eternal vision of death.
