Don'T Take This the Wrong Way
Don’t Take This the Wrong Way
By Elton Camp
“Don’t take this the wrong way”
Just before an insult people say
It’s certain to be something bad
They mean, “Hey, don’t get mad.”
You’re to take unsolicited advice
Yet treat the presumptuous one nice
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
But you smell just like hair spray.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
Do you realize how much you weigh?”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
Your English ignorance does betray.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
At your clothes I feel dismay.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
Too much cleavage you display.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
I notice your kids never obey.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way,
But welcome the nosy thing I say.”
