Don'T Speak

I'll watch you
And you don't have a clue
Everything you do
Is making sense to me

I see you now
And wonder how
I missed the real you

We pushed each other so far down.

In just a minute,
I can see everything in your heart,
Really looking in it.
God knows we got off to a bad start.
But where's the finish?

I'm sorry I
Always have to be
The first one to talk
The first one to blame
And everything
Doesn't seem like your fault now.

I'll try not to shame you
This time and maybe
It'll be alright...

Let's just shut our mouths.

What I say is hurting you
And what you say is hurting me
I don't want to see us going through
The same goddamn thing
Everyday...

Maybe the silence will help us out
We probably don't know what we're talking about
Anyways...
So let's just shut our mouths.

My stupid words get in the way
You don't know just
What to say

So let's just shut our mouths...
