Don'T Say I Never Tried
As sure as the sun does
shine,
the world will keep turnin'
round.
But everytime I'd come to
you,
you'd just put me down.
You said that you loved me,
but you were never
satisfied.
Well baby loving you was
hard,
so don't say I never tried.
As sure as the stars would
shine,
the night would make it's
sound.
Evertime I'd cross that
bridge,
You would turn me back
around.
I'd stumble with every step,
to get there by your side.
Girl you'd break my heart,
so don't say I never tried.
There were days I'd walk
away,
but return from things you'd
say.
My heart was truly yours,
but oh the price I had to pay.
I was told a man don't cry,
well girl someone told a lie.
Cause I sure felt I could die,
so don't say I never tried.
Although my tears did fall,
I still believed you were the
one.
Well now my eyes are dry,
and I know you had your fun.
Today I swallowed my pride,
and opened my eyes wide.
Cause I know you never
loved me,
but don't say I never tried.
