Don'T Remind Me

I awoke to the news
Overnight you'd departed
Played a show, said goodnight
Then slipped away instead

I think I know by now
Not to try to reason
Just to love all you meant
And what you left behind

I feel bad sometimes too
I am haunted and exhausted
That's when I take your advice
Don't remind me

I pray you find your truth
In someplace higher
And I want you to know
That I'll keep searching too
