Don'T Quit Your Daydream
“Don’t quit your daydream” whispered the butterfly to the furry caterpillar,
“Before you know it you will have masterful wings."
“Don’t quit your daydream” said the carpenter to child with blocks on the floor,
“Before you know it you will be building magical play places, towers and houses.”
“Don’t quit your daydream” said the artist to the broken crayon on the floor,
“I will make you the star color on my coloring book page.
“Don’t quit your daydream” said the choir director to her class of edger kids.
“You will vocalize the music that will make many happy today and evermore."
“Don’t quit your daydream” said the miner to the lumps of coal in his sack,
You have gold running in your veins that will make sparkly jewelry
“Don’t quit your daydream” said the trucker to the boy playing with toy trucks."
“One day you will drive with the big boys on the open roads."
Don't quit your daydream no matter how impossible it may seem,
When given the proper time to grow, it can do great things.
