Don'T Quit

As I sit and think about
All the things I've lost
I know the Lord will work it out
He'll get me through at any cost

I thought losing my job
Was possibly the worst
But when I lost my house
Lord knows that it hurt

Trying to raise my children
With no income at all
That's a bad feeling
Watching your world crumble and fall

Sometimes I went to bed hungry
Not enough food to eat
Enough for my children only
So they'd get a good nights sleep

This has been a hard year
It hit me like a ton of bricks
My eyes are filled with tears
But my Lord said don't quit

This poem inspired me when I wrote it, and it still does even now.
