Don'T Look Don'T See
Happy Halloween Everyone
I don't look down in the cellar
especially at night
I know there's nothing there
at least, to cause me fright
But I double check the latch
and I sit far from the door
'cause I've heard the strangest things
from the cellar times before
It is difficult to sleep
as I'm twisting in this chair
and my eyes now open wide
with every creaking of a stair
My heart is pounding faster
to escape my captive chest
as my fear seems over whelming
to receive unwanted guess
Then the morning light intrudes
in the room I call my cell
and I think that I am spared
for a fate that worse than Hell
But people ask me why
I stay here as a dweller
I simply say--- it's Ok
If I don't look in the cellar
