Don'T Let Me Drift Away
Oh, what a tangled web you wove
With your contest “Treasure Trove”
To find a poem that I once started
Wrote a line and then departed
This might prove a daunting task
But I will try because you asked
“Don’t let me drift away”
A single line on a single page
Written at a younger age
When angst was but this poet’s rage
Uncertainty on center stage
And love had somehow come uncaged
