Don'T Let It Make You

“I make the Money, It don’t make me “ Going to work every day, out here no excuse Making Money, I make the money It don’t make me Out here grinding by all means, finish a day’s work Go get some rest Mission completed, I did my best, to pass this test Money is the root of all evil That’s what I was told Never greed, want to succeed Anyway it goes, but it’s been told More times than before That what good is a man, to gain the world and lose its soul Don’t let the money, take full control On earth you could live without it and be happy But man makes you think you can’t with money sometimes a price is paid At a bigger cost, its just currency, that has lost the value of its true meaning People use it and abuse it, don’t know its worth And if they lose it for good It will hit them where it hurts Put in the works and labor, and then the money you make will work in your favor Written By: Concetta Hardnett 6/27/2016
