Stanza 1
O se ntlogele ka e tebilego ka gare-gare,

Moo lešoka la hlologelo le metšago dithunya tša mahloko,

Ka maatla a magolo, go feta tekanyo kudu-kudu.

Ka bophara kudu bja lefeella le le tšhošago,

Pelo e goelela ka bohloko ka hlologelo,

E nyaka nnete sa nnete gona go feta kgole.

English Translation:

Do not leave me in the deepest inner depths,

Where the wilderness of longing blooms with painful blossoms,

With mighty strength, far beyond all measure.

Across the vast expanse of this daunting desert,

The heart cries out with aching yearning,

Seeking true truth, far beneath the surface.

Stanza 2
O se ntiye ka bobe ka bogale ka maatla,

Moo moya o thothomelang ka gare ga mahlagahlaga,

Mme dipula tša matlakala di idibadago mahlaka a nonnego.

Lefifi le laola diphefo tša go fiša kudu ka maatla,

Mme tsela e timela ka go se tlwaelege ka kgethego,

Go fihla moo lesedi le hlokagalang ka botlalo pataganya.

English Translation:

Do not let me be so fiercely overwhelmed,

Where the spirit trembles amidst roaring storms,

And driving rain flattens the fertile reeds.

Darkness commands the blistering winds,

And the path vanishes uncommonly and strangely,

Until light is missing entirely and completely.

Stanza 3
Mo dinokeng tša meokgo di elang ka lebelo ka maatla,

Ke goeletša go Ramaatla-ohle yo maatla ohle,

A ntšhe dibatana tša bokgopo tše di golegang kgotso.

Khunama ka go teba go feta tekanyo marapong a ka,

O tlotše dintho tša leeto le le letelele,

Gore ka go hlweka fela pelo e humane maatla a mafsa.

English Translation:

Where rivers of tears flow with rapid rushing power,

I call out to the Almighty of all strength,

To banish the beastly shadows that imprison peace.

I bow profoundly to the very bone,

Anoint the wounds of this endless journey,

So that in pure grace my heart finds renewed strength.

Stanza 4
A kgotso e hlaolelegang kudu e phuthele mahlakore ohle,

E fetole lešoka la dipelo legae la go fola le go bonesa.

Nako tšohle ka go bonagala pepeneneng,

Moya wa ka o tla thaba ka lethabo le legolo kudu,

Ka ge o mphihlišitše gabotse ka nnete boagong bja gago,

Moo hlologelo e fetswang ka botlalo kaa moka.

English Translation:

May an eminently distinguished peace enfold every horizon,

Turning the wilderness of hearts into a sanctuary of healing and light.

Forever visibly and clearly revealed,

My spirit shall rejoice with exceeding joy,

For You have truly brought me home to Your dwelling,

Where all longing is satisfied wholly and completely.
