Dont Leave

Shes sleeping so sound, tears already seeped into the ground,
every night since he died, every night, shes cried,
found almost peaceful sleep, empty of dreams,
he finally stopped coming to her in her, the emptiness is bittersweet,

the phone rings, suddenly shes wide awake,
a feeling that this call is importance takes,
a hold of her, she picks up, hoping her voice wont break,

she whispers hello? but the voice is a surprise,
suddenly shes breathless, screaming inside,
oh mi gosh how are you alive?

i thought you were dead,
my heart broken in two,
i blamed myself for not being able to save you,

i love you, please, don't hang up the phone,
its okay, i promise, just don't leave me alone,
we need to catch up, tell me why, make me laugh?

i wish you were here, i wish i could kiss away the pain,
id be alright, if i could just see you again...

This is, sadly, a true story. or well, based very very closely on one.
