Listen to poem:

Dont Know How To Love

Sometimes I don't know if half the time I'm trying to play rescue
I seem to attract broken glass but don't know how to apply the glue
I don't know how to love because in the end I'm the one who bleeds
Instead of giving support I end up being the one in need
It's possible I don't know how to love because I don't love myself
I have to know who I am to bear the decision of being someone else
You gain battle scars from trying to live for another person
In and out of many relationships without learning a lesson
By not knowing how to love you go through trial and error
Trying to find that person through others that you see in the mirror
If you can count your relationships on your hands and on your toes
Find the unhealed wound in yourself because no one else knows
Some are searching for the love that lacked from childhood
Looking for a mother or father in a mate and that's no good
Others are seeking self-esteem or approval from their mate
Seeking to find that life long partner that can relate
Some think it's love when their sex life is great
Some have to be taught there's a thin line between love and hate
Benjamin Franklin is used to show love and he's dead
Most people demonstrate their love from the top of their heads
Learning and knowing how to love starts with the individual
Only then will you be stable enough to find your winning equal.
