Don'T Kill Life Until Essential

As you relish your meat in hand
Do you ever think of the animals family
Brother's, sister's, husband, wife, children
Waiting for their loved one to return

Same is true for plants
They are also living beings
Don't pluck or cut unnecessary
Don't waste food, don't throw

Take care while you walk on woods
Or in the garden
Try not to kill life under your foot
While you Live, let live those tiny creatures

I believe this poem is about 'Ahisma', if I spelled it right-- extreme non-violence. O, if only Mother Nature practiced it, as she is as likely to send a tiger to eat us or a tiny, tiny bug to kill us-- a most brutal mother indeed!

We should be good however bad others are as we have to reap results of our sins. That's my personal thinking. Tiger will not kill until hungry. We kill for skin and pleasure.
